Welcome to Our Recovery House
Our Recovery House provides intensive, short-term support for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis, in a safe, calm, and homely environment.
Delivered in Partnership
This service is delivered in partnership with the Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and Birmingham Mind.
Together, we provide 24/7 care and support focused on helping each person stabilise, recover, and regain control during challenging times.
Our approach is therapeutic, recovery-focused, and person-centred, with a maximum stay of up to 7 nights.
Our Facilities
We’ve created a comfortable and welcoming environment to support your wellbeing, including:
- 10 single-occupancy bedrooms (including a secure female-only area)
- 2 communal lounges for relaxation and social connection
- 3 shared kitchens for independent meal preparation
- A safe, enclosed back garden with outdoor seating
- A quiet sensory room for peace and reflection
- Space for therapeutic activities and wellbeing workshops
Who Can Stay
Our Recovery House is available to individuals who:
- Are 18 years or older
- Are experiencing an immediate and significant mental health crisis
- Are under the care of Secondary Mental Health Services
- Have a permanent home to return to after their stay
- Registered service pets are welcome
- Visitors are welcome until 10pm
- Dependants under 18, can visit by special arrangement
Referral Process
The Recovery House is accessible to those currently receiving care and support from Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
Referrals for this service are only permitted from:
- Home Treatment Teams
- Community Mental Health Teams
- Inpatient Mental Health Teams
We are not permitted to accept referrals from other mental health providers, nor self-referrals.
Support We Provide
During your stay, you’ll have access to a range of tailored support, including:
- A dedicated Mental Health & Wellbeing Practitioner
- Support from a Peer Mentor with lived experience
- Help with daily living skills and building confidence
- Guidance to access local community services, shops, and amenities
- A focus on preventing hospital admission and promoting sustained recovery
