This year, Birmingham Mind launching their new Peer Mentor programme,.

The programme is designed to compliment the support already offered by Birmingham Mind staff and volunteers, knowing that peer support from people with lived mental health experience can improve other people’s wellbeing, resulting in them having fewer hospital stays, larger support networks, and better self-esteem, confidence, and social skills.

The programme is currently in its infancy, and begins with recruiting Peer Mentoring Programme Lead.

Following this we will be actively seeking interest from anyone interested in applying to become a peer mentor through the programme.

We welcome initial enquiries about programme and these should be directed to Director of Operations, John Bristow in the first instance.
