Looking for your next challenge? Climb Yr Wyddfa (previously known as Snowdon) with Birmingham Mind, for better mental health

Yr Wyddfa, is the highest peak in Wales and England. At 1085m high, it’s a tough climb to reach the summit, but you are rewarded with it’s tremendous views of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia)

It is proven that spending time in nature has a positive impact on your mental health. The benefits include improved sleep, reduced stress, lower blood pressure and boosts your immune system. It is also a great way to connect and socialise with others.

For the first time we we are inviting you to take part in our 2024, Yr Wyddfa climb to help to raise funds for the services we offer in Birmingham. Services such as our Central Birmingham Wellbeing Hub and our Anti-Stigma Associates Group. More information about our services can be found here.

Details

  • Date: Saturday 14th September 2024
  • Age 18+
  • Coach pick up 5:15am from central Birmingham B5 4DY
  • Light snacks included
  • You will need a packed lunch and plenty of fluids
  • Leave Llanberis at 5pm for return back to central Birmingham
  • You will need suitable clothes and footwear

Whether you choose to climb in memory of a loved one, to challenge yourself or climb to help raise awareness for mental health, your support will go a long way in helping us ensure that everyone living in Birmingham has somewhere to turn to for support and advice with their mental health.

By joining our charity challenge you will be supported by expert Mountain Leaders, who will be on hand from the moment you set off,  till you reach the summit and return back down.

Places are £40 each with a fundraising target of £200 per person.

Your registration includes:

  • Fully trained mountain leaders
  • Return transport from Birmingham City Centre to Llanberis
  • Birmingham Mind T-shirt
  • Fundraising support and advice
  • Light snacks

Please note, due to health and safety reasons, you must be 18+ to take part in this event. Please do not sign up if you are under the age of18.
