With the temperatures set to soar this week, the Met office has issued a Level 2 Met Office Heat-health Alert for the West Midlands.
This will pose increased health risks to us all and most particularly vulnerable adults locally,
Please ensure you look after yourself this week, take on plenty of fluids, plan your journeys to reduce travelling time where possible and try to reduce travelling during the hottest part of the day.
Use fans, close curtains and blinds and open windows when the air feels cooler outside than inside, for example, at night. Try to get air flowing through your home office, if possible.
Turn off lights and electrical equipment that aren’t in use. Check your fridge and freezer are working ok.
Finally, check in on your friends, family and neighbours if you can.
