Role Details
Our Vulnerable Adult Supported Housing Service in Small Heath, is accommodation that is managed by Birmingham Mind and owned by one of three partner Housing Associations.
Flint Green House supports those with a forensic history.
Our dedicated teams are underpinned by the key features of recovery; hope, respect, control and personal growth.
We use person centred planning tools to help identify with individuals what support they want in order to achieve their ambitions and goals.
Tasks
- To support the staff with the planning and delivery of wellbeing groups.
- To be ready and willing to support residents by listening with empathy and kindness.
- Reporting of conversations and information on our secure database.
Skills Required
- Reasonable level of English language
- A moderate level of IT with willingness to learn
- Ability to listen to themes of suicide, self-harm and trauma
- Empathy and kindness
- Friendly welcoming personality
- Crafting or other skills desirable

Access to Birmingham Mind training is both online and face to face.
Support
You will be appointed a line manager
They will offer you regular ongoing support and progress chats.
As part of this role you will be invited to volunteer at events and meetings.

Travel (bus, train, tram) fares reimbursed
Car mileage reimbursed
Lunch/ Meal expenses reimbursed if you volunteer over 4 hours (up to £4 max)
