We are delighted to announce that our CEO, Helen Wadley has been appointed Honorary Professor of Practice for Health at University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) for the next three years.

This appointment reflects the growing and purposeful partnership between Birmingham Mind and the University. Together, we are committed to strengthening health and educational outcomes for people and communities across Birmingham.

The collaboration will create new opportunities to connect academic research, lived experience and frontline practice. Over the coming years, the partnership will support:

  • Stronger collaboration between the voluntary and community sector and academia

  • The development of future health and social care leaders

  • Evidence-informed approaches to tackling health inequalities

  • Amplifying lived experience within learning, research and service design
