When:
Minimum of 2 hours per week (see times slots below). Flexible to childcare and study needs of the volunteer.
- Handsworth: Mon-Fri 9am-1pm or 1-5pm, Sat 10am-2pm
- Beechcroft Erdington: Mon-Sun 9am-1pm or 1-5pm.
- Bullring Hub: Tues 2-6pm, Weds-Fri 10am-1pm or 12-4pm, Sat 10am-2pm

Role Description
Role Details
Our Wellbeing Hubs offer 1:1 recovery support planning, recovery focused activities and support to develop peer-led support networks and groups.
The Bullring Hub also offers drop-ins to members of the public who need support with their mental health.
Tasks
Supporting staff with preparing the hub for opening; light cleaning duties, putting out resources, refilling tea station.
Welcoming service users at the hub, preparing refreshments, speaking to them and supporting with emotional wellbeing and signposting (once trained), completing notes on the secure database, contributing to group discussions on mental health, contributing to plans for creative sessions.
Skills Required
- Interested in supporting individuals and groups with their mental health & wellbeing
- Empathy and kindness
- Friendly and welcoming
- Ability to listen to themes of suicide, self-harm and trauma
- Good level of English language
- A moderate level of IT with willingness to learn
- Lived experience of mental health (desirable)

Expenses
- Travel (bus, train, tram) fares reimbursed, max £4.00 per day
- Car mileage reimbursed
- Lunch / Meal expenses reimbursed if you volunteer over 4 hours (Max £4.00)
