Roles:         2 Positions Available


You will be interested in supporting and promoting issues that affect women from different community groups.

Supporting the Community Development Worker Service to network and engage with women experiencing issues with pregnancy, domestic abuse, post-natal depression, menopause and other issues relating to women’s’ health and wellbeing.

The Volunteer will promote inclusivity within community groups locally to improve mental wellbeing for;

  • Women in under-represented ethnic communities
  • LGBTQIA+ community
  • Women in the criminal justice system
  • Women from newly arrived communities (Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Travelling community)

You are a good communicator who enjoys being with people.

You will challenge stigma and promote Birmingham Minds Vision and Values


Support with simple administration tasks such as keep a register and distributing information to small groups.

Helping to create and deliver wellbeing sessions, encouraging participation to help women achieve their potential

Engage and support networking activities


Flexibility and able to use own initiative

Age 18 years +

Must be reliable and punctual

Additional language skills desirable

Be able to inspire and motivate other women

Knowledge and understanding of Women’s issues and barriers facing women today

Travel fares reimbursed (Bus / Train and Tram)

Car mileage reimbursed

Lunch paid for if you volunteer over 4 hours (£4 max)
