Location: Beechcroft, 501 Slade Road, Erdington, B23 7JG
Required: Various days Tuesday /Wednesday /Thursday / Friday. Between 10am to 4pm
Role
The Beechcroft Recovery Hub offers a range of activities and courses to promote wellbeing and recovery. We are seeking volunteers to act as front of house reception support by welcoming individuals into the service, answering and transferring phone calls and creating a friendly, welcoming and safe environment.
Tasks
To welcome visitors into the building
To carry out necessary health and safety checks and procedures
To deal with any queries and enquiries
To answer incoming phone calls and relay information or transfer calls to the appropriate member of staff
To shadow and support staff members during group activities
To keep the reception area clean and organised
To inform staff of any incidents or accidents as soon as possible
Any other necessary tasks associated with the role
Skills Required
Good communication skills including telephone and face to face
Basic IT skills including using email
Calm and patient
A friendly and approachable manner
Comfortable volunteering in a busy environment
Able to multi-task
Able to use own initiative
Organised and good at planning
