Role Description
We are seeking volunteer support with administrative responsibilities for the Birmingham Mind Associates Group.
Our volunteer will be responsible for attending regular meetings alongside the Associate Group Co-ordinator and members, keeping accurate minutes of any actions discussed at these meetings and helping to organise and invite attendees to the meeting.
Applicants will also have the opportunity to participate within events focused on tackling stigma and discrimination around mental health and supporting members to take a lead role.
Tasks
Assist in the organisation and preparation of online meetings with in the Birmingham Mind Associate Group.
To send digital invites to attendees and to collate and distribute relevant information in advance
To take accurate minutes during any meetings and keep accurate records of any agreed actions
To contribute to the planning and organisation of events
To have a presence during events and support the members as required
Any other associated tasks as part of the administrative support role
Skills Required
A Positive attitude towards mental health and those who have experienced mental distress
Excellent IT skills
Good organisational and communication skills
Ideally experience in minute-taking or administrative duties
